AustinBlu Foundation Rises From Teenage Boating Tragedy

Two teenagers were lost at sea this summer while fishing out of Jupiter, Florida, the world mourned the loss for both families. Despite the massive search and rescue efforts, the boys were never found.

Following the tragedy, Austin’s parents—Carly Black and William Blu Stephanos—have established the AustinBlu Foundation, a grassroots organization to promote boater safety and technology, like EPIRBS, that can assist search and rescue efforts.

Alongside the family, ACR/ARTEX is offering to donate $10 for every EPIRB sold between the time of printing and the end of December to the foundation’s efforts for raising awareness and legislation.
